Supméca engineers are recognised for their skills in mechanical and digital engineering, both in the design and modelling or simulation of complex mechanical and mechatronic systems. They possess equally sought-after skills related to materials and the management of production systems.
Since the creation of the CESTI in 1956 – which was founded on the basis of the ISMCM, a practical-training school dedicated to mechanical and materials engineering attached to the Polytechnic Institute, Supméca, which started using this name in 2003, has been consistently updating its training programmes in order to train the types of engineers the industrial world needs.
All research activities conducted at Supméca have been integrated into the QUARTZ laboratory. They revolve around 5 key themes: Tribology & Materials, Static & Dynamic Study of Mechanical Systems, Vibroacoustics & Structure, Sustainable Systems, Engineering of Mechatronic and Multi-physical Systems.
